Now, for the first time in a decade, the Texas-born actress, 40, is exploring a new side of her multifaceted life: She's taking a break from moviemaking. But I need to sit still long enough to see where my brain goes." Given all that has happened to her in the past five years—eight films, two Oscar nominations (and one win), a breakup with White Stripes front man Jack White, an ill-fated four-month marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney, wild media speculation about a current romance with NBC News chief legal correspondent Dan Abrams—it's no wonder boredom looks so attractive to Zellweger.
She's got all the trappings of a high-gloss life—the designer clothes, the red-carpet poses. She's a voracious reader, a gutsy actress and a doer when it comes to the causes she cares about: A USO supporter, she has visited wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center over the past year. She's about outer glamour—and the inner kind, too.
Miz Zellweger has been a bright light in Tinseltown for quite some time and is best known perhaps for her roles in Cold Mountain, Jerry Maguire, Chicago, Nurse Betty and the Bridget Jones’s Diary franchise and for her long list of high-profile man-friends and who include Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Jack White, Kenny Chesney–to whom she was married for about 8 minutes–Luke Perry, John Krasinski, André Balazs, Dan Abrams and, for about 2 years until their March 2011 bust up, Bradley Cooper who People magazine named as “The Sexiest Man Alive” for 2011.
Renee Zellweger is firing back at all the ridiculous rumors that have been circulating around about whether or not she’s altered her face–and she’s doing it in her own words.
In an op-ed piece for The Huffington Post titled “We Can Do Better”, the actress responded to the speculation that she’s had plastic surgery–which originated from a tabloid newspaper article that first ran back in October 2014.
The press release we received reveals Miz Zellweger acquired the 39 acre farmlette, located in the northeastern corner of Connecticut about 3.5 hours by car from Midtown Manhattan, as a “vacation retreat.” She renovated, updated and upgraded the property’s primary structures, which include a vintage main house, separate guest house, and fully detached recreation barn while retaining respect and admiration for the age and integrity of the antique structures.
The actress also spent handsomely on extensive landscaping improvement that include various gardens, terraces and dry-stone walls that look as if they pre-date the late-18th century spread.
Well, they can be, but I don't think I'd go for the cheap fish!
[.]GLAMOUR: You didn't grow up with a whole lot, did you? I have immigrant parents who came to this country with nothing, and my dad worked his ass off to support our family.
Emily’s worst fears are confirmed when the parents try to kill Lilith, their only daughter.
Emily saves her and decides to take her in herself until the right foster family comes along, only to find out the girl isn’t nearly as innocent as she thought.
We have no inside intel about whether or not Miz Zellweger plans to continue to lighten her real estate load or if she’ll hang on to her house in the Hamptons.

RENÉE ZELLWEGER: I am always amazed by Diane Sawyer; she is so elegant and manages to pull it together at A. I'm thrilled she's out there as the face of American women. RENÉE ZELLWEGER: I have a job that requires me to get dressed [up] more often than if I were in another line of work, but I don't have a lot of indulgences.
